Introduction

If you are a registered user and have been given publishing privileges, you are able and encouraged to use the "Submit Article" feature to post any article that would be of value to people attending The Bridge Church, or even just visiting our website. Announcements about upcoming church activities that you're in charge of, information about worship, or encounter events happening around the city and the surrounding areas, or even just praise reports are all fair game.

The intent is to make "The Bridge News"  a central location where people at The Bridge can quickly go to find out anything and everything about what is happening at The Bridge, or what God is doing around Austin, Texas.

"The Bridge News" articles are not to be just random blog entries, so please keep article submissions relevant to useful information. A general "Bridge Blog" is in the works where The Bridge members will be able to freely blog without cluttering up the news announcements. An announcement will be posted on "The Bridge News" when this is available.

Submitting Articles

1. Log in using your User name and Password
2. select "Submit Article" from the User Menu.
3. Enter a title for the article
4. Begin editing. These don't have to be just boring black and white text articles.  Take advantage of all of the formatting and image insertion tools that are available in the editor.  You will be able insert images that are already in the site's media library, or you can browse your local files and insert pictures that you have.
5. Select "News" for section
6. Select "Latest" for category
7. Select "Yes" for published
8. Select "No" for Show on Front Page (This is a special designation for the articles that have been linked to menu selections)
9. Enter an Alias if desired (not required)
10. Select Start/Stop publishing dates. Leaving the Stop date blank will mean that the article never expires.
11. Select the access level you would like associated with the article. Selecting "Registered" or "Special" will restrict visibility of the article and it will not be visible by public visitors to the site.
12. Enter a description if you like (not required)
13. Enter any Keywords that you would like to help search engines find the article (not required)
14. Click "Save" at the top right of your editor window.
15. Congratulations! You've just contributed to "The Bridge News"
